Guadalupe River Trail - River Oaks Pkwy to Rte. 237

On Sunday D. and I got out of the house and spent some time on the Guadalupe River Trail, between River Oaks Parkway and Route 237.  Here are some of the pics I took.

The trail runs on top of flood control levees.  We appreciate the trail's flat, even, paved surface.

Guadalupe River Trail

On Sunday D. and I decided to visit the Guadalupe River Trail, and here are some of the pics I took.

A Southwest jet comes in to land at San José International Airport (only a mile away) over a playground near where we have parked.

Meeting Lupe

On Sunday D. and I decided to go to the Guadalupe River Trail to see Lupe.  Lupe is a life-sized sculpture placed at the site of the 2005 discovery of the bones of a juvenile Columbian mammoth (Mammuthus columbi), who was named after the Guadalupe River.  Here are some of the pics I took while we were there ( Read more... )
